“The Lord Sends Jonathan to You”

(1) Saul throws a spear at David (1 Samuel 18:9-11)
(2) Saul put David in charge of a thousand men sent to the battlefield (1 Samuel 18:13-14)
(3) Saul promises to give his daughter Merab to David, and sends him to fight in the front line of
battle (1 Samuel 18:17-18)
(4) Saul promises to give his second daughter, Michal, to David and sends him to the front line of
battle (1 Samuel 18:20)

* The weapons Jesus gave us
Ephesians 6:11, 14-17 “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the
devil’s schemes... Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the
breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the
gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the
flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the
