In the latest episode of my podcast, we dive into a crucial topic: getting noticed on LinkedIn. You’ve been putting in the effort, sharing valuable content, but it seems like your posts are falling flat. So, what’s going wrong? Why isn’t your amazing insight gaining the traction it deserves? Today, we tackle this challenge head-on. First off, it’s essential to separate your emotions from your social media activity. It’s easy to get hooked on the dopamine rush from likes and comments, but that’s not the end goal. Sure, we all want more engagement and followers, but not all engagement is beneficial. You need to know what you want from your content and set clear goals to measure success. Often, the posts that bring in the most leads aren’t the ones that get the most likes. For example, a post that speaks directly to your ideal client’s pain points may perform poorly compared to a motivational quote, but it’s more effective in attracting the right audience. This leads us to the crux of our discussion: the importance of relevance over popularity. To get noticed by the right people, your content must be hyper-relevant. This means understanding your ideal client’s world, their challenges, and how your content can offer solutions. You can’t just appeal to everyone; you need to focus on those who matter most to your business. Think of it this way: Coca-Cola targets the masses, while Rolls Royce targets a niche market. As a solopreneur or small business, you should adopt a Rolls Royce strategy, aiming to influence a specific, valuable audience rather than trying to reach everyone. So, how do you create hyper-relevant content? Start by ensuring that every social post has a clear, targeted message. Use specific language that resonates with your ideal client’s daily struggles. For instance, instead of a generic ”how to be more efficient,” say ”how to get your proposals done when you’re back-to-back on sales calls.” This specificity grabs attention and provides real value. Consistency is key. Content is a long game. While you might not see immediate results, regular, targeted posts will build a relevant audience over time. Remember, it’s not about the number of likes but about getting noticed by those who will pay for your services. For those who want to dive deeper, I’ve got frameworks to help you gain clarity on your ideal clients. DM me, and I’ll send you my clarity framework to get you started. Let’s get your content noticed by the right people and start driving real results.
