At the heart of the philosophy of Ubuntu is the idea of a community where everyone has a place, where the individual is taken care of and the individual takes care of the community. Such a community not only gives everyone a place, but also gives space and weight to their voice. At best, the community also transfers the reasons for its cohesion to its surroundings, to the environment.
Wakanyi Hoffmann shows us how small group ideals of hunter-gatherer communities can be quickly transformed into ideals for a global community. It doesn't always have to become narrow-minded and small-minded to take this path of generalization. The search for shared and divisible values can itself be understood as the realization of the desire for resonance with fellow human beings and the world.

Im Zentrum der Philosophie des Ubuntu steht die Idee einer Gemeinschaft, in der jeder einen Platz hat, in der man sich um das Individuum kümmert und das Individuum um die Gemeinschaft. Eine solche Gemeinschaft gibt nicht nur jedem einen Platz, sondern auch seiner Stimmer Raum und Gewicht. Bestenfalls überträgt die Gemeinschaft die Gründe für ihren Zusammenhalt auch auf die Umgebung, die Umwelt.
Wakanyi Hoffmann führt uns vor, wie man Kleingruppenidealen von Jäger-Sammlergemeinschaften schnell zu Idealen für eine globale Gemeinschaft kommt. Es muss nicht immer borniert und kleingeistig werden, wenn man diese Weg der Verallgemeinerung einschlägt. Die Suche nach geteilten und teilbaren Werten kann selbst als Verwirklichung des Wunsches nach Resonanz mit den Mitmenschen und der Welt verstanden werden.
