It is an understatement to say that the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy has very impressive Visual Effects. It really changed the way some in the industry make movies. From using forced perspective, miniatures, scaled composites, background replacements, performance capture, and crowd-generating software, this trilogy was able to exploit every trick in the book.
