Sister Bonnie Steinlage, a Franciscan Sister of the Poor, felt called to serve the homeless by becoming a hairdresser. After graduating from beauty school, she opened a tony salon in a shower house. In 1997, she founded Franciscan Haircuts from the Heart, which grew to serve thousands of adults and children. Sister Bonnie's work has been featured in numerous publications including Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, People, Women's Day, and Hair and Beauty News. Interviewed by Winn Claybaugh, she shares her incredible story and her passion for making a difference."
