Since the start of the school year, students have been locking away their cell phones and smartwatches in pouches during school hours, thanks to a $100,000 initiative approved by the Marietta Board of Education. The results have led to increased focus, participation, and face-to-face socializing.

Principal Keynun Campbell and teachers have noted significant improvements in classroom engagement. Superintendent Grant Rivera highlighted alarming stats on social media’s impact on middle schoolers, reinforcing the need for this policy.
