I just left the rodeo, thinking about bull riders. They climb onto massive bulls, knowing they’ll be thrown off, aiming to stay on for just eight seconds. Even when hurt, they get back up and ride again because it’s worth it. It reminded me of surfers in San Diego—fighting to catch a wave, standing for a moment, and wiping out, only to try again.

Life is similar. We avoid risks to dodge pain, but maybe the struggles make the ride meaningful. I’ve faced hard moments, prayed for strength, and heard God say, “Stay. This is your moment to grow.” Those challenges shaped me.

You can’t have resurrection without death or joy without risk. Whatever “bull” you’re facing, don’t let fear stop you. Get back on. It’s worth it.
