Following Tuesday's roster cuts, the Carolina Panthers had top priority on the waiver and they used it as the organization claimed six players off of waivers, including three cornerbacks.

They claimed former Buccaneers cornerback Keenan Isaac, former Jets cornerback Shemar Bartholomew, former Washington cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields, former Seahawks outside linebacker Jamie Sheriff, former Seahawks linebacker Jon Rhattigan, and former 49ers guard Jarrett Kingston.

To make room for the newcomers on the roster, they waived wide receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette, guard Cade Mays, cornerback D'Shawn Jamison, defensive tackle Jayden Peevy, along with undrafted rookies Jalen Coker and Demani Richardson.

According to reports, the Panthers are planning on signing veteran defensive back Lonnie Johnson Jr to their practice squad. The addition of Johnson would mean that the Panthers are welcoming four new cornerbacks. Julian evaluates the Panthers rebuilt secondary.
