The 2024 season will be the inaugural one for the 12 team college football playoffs, but we now know how those twelve teams will be determined and subsequently seeded. The four highest ranked conference champions will receive a bye, the five highest ranked conference champions are secured a spot, and there will be seven at large bids available for teams that don't win their conference. The first round of the playoffs will be played in true home-road games for the 5th through 8th seeds, the quarterfinals and the semifinals would be the NY6 bowl games, and the National Championship will resume as normal.
