1. Tell us a story of how you have been positively impacted by a loving/welcoming church culture. (Me: the church I was saved in was so friendly. You could tell they loved each other during the meet & greet time and that was strange & attractive to me)
2. Are the lists of names inspired by God? (a trick question to help promote the doctrine of inspiration)
3. Pick a few unknown saints from the list and share some background info on them.
4. What does this list tell us about the importance of each individual in the Church?
5. Let’s talk about Phoebe, P & A (see Acts 18; 1 Cor 16; 2 Tim 4:19), & A & J. Be ready to share some modern day examples of these people from your experience.
6. Review the 4 signs of a healthy church and talk through each one.
7. What does a welcoming church look like and feel like? What are some expected results of a welcoming church? See John 13:34-35; Romans 14:1; 15:7.
8. even expand on Paul’s admonition in 15:30 about the “love of the Spirit”
9. What are some practical ways people in our church can form relationships? (Fgs, Cgs, etc). How does serving the Lord forge friendships faster?
10. Remind people to send a note of appreciation to at least one other Christian.
