King Solomon followed his father, King David’s plan, but missed the purpose. King David loved the presence of God (Ps 27: 4 ‘The one thing I ask of the LORD- the thing I seek most- is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and meditating in his Temple…) – even dancing in the most un-Kingly manner when the ark was moved, causing Bathsheba to scoff at him.

King Solomon was different – you don’t get the same impression of joy in the presence of God. He seems more caught up in his own role in building the temple… The Spirit of God met with the congregation of LifeLine Church powerfully on this particular Sunday.
