Arrest made in connection with West Philly shooting that led to 3 nurses and gunshot victim being injured in a hit-and-run

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting in West Philadelphia that led to the gunshot victim and three Penn Presbyterian nurses being struck by a hit-and-run driver outside the hospital. Philadelphia police say 20-year-old Huzma Mitchell has been charged with aggravated and simple assault, conspiracy and related gun offenses. Police say Mitchell was involved in the shootout along Belmont Avenue near Girard Ave early Saturday morning that left a 28-year-old man wounded. As he was being dropped off at the hospital in a Jeep SUV, police say the driver sped off, running over three emergency room nurses and the gunshot victim. That driver, 20-year-old Jaadir Goodwyn, surrendered to police yesterday. Image credit: Getty Images
