Storytelling is alive and well in Portland Oregon. There are many opportunities to listen to skilled storytellers at various local venues and especially at Artichoke Music or even on line. You need to know more about the Portland Storyteller's Guild from Ken Iverson, Guild President, and Barbara Fankhauser, Past President.
