Mauro has a combined 22 years in the Fitness Industry and 33 learning and teaching Martial Arts. A degree in Sports Sciences was the kickoff to become a serial entrepreneur in the Fitness Industry, specializing in customer satisfaction, adherence, and retention in physical exercise - searching for answers to what makes people stick to exercise. As a Martial Artist, Mauro led an eclectic career, starting with traditional Karate, then moving into Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and ultimately MMA. His combined vision become the foundation to what BHOUT would become - merging Fitness and Gaming with nudging and AI to develop the first boxing bag with a brain.
