Alex's Thoughts In Review: Deathloop is a very different approach to AAA Video Games, and I like that! It incorporates rogue-like elements into the "immersive sim" nature that exudes in the level design that you may or may not know and love from Arkane's history. It just doesn't quite go all the way with it, and feels like it burns bright at first, and then burns right out not long after. Things like loot, or multiple paths, or alternative takedowns for your targets, all get left on the sidelines as the game only gets more focused and less interesting as it goes on.
