Inverted Orthodoxy #355- Subjectivity in Christianity, diversity in church, and maybe more
Manage episode 441878351 series 1453647
In this weeks episode, Pastor Kyle, Blake, and Doug discuss the following:
Why were Pharaoh's magicians able to do the same tricks (ie. rod becoming a snake, River filled with blood, epidemic of frogs...) with their incantations? Was this really possible?
14:07 into episode Do you think subjectivity is a good thing and needed in Christianity? Was just thinking of moral relativism and how that is becoming a norm in society. I know this has to do what is morally good and bad, and also what truth is. But how do you guys think it should be dealt with in the church?
35:31 into the episode . Hello, was thinking about diversity in the church. Have listened to so views about having churches that are designated for a specific group of people, like chines, Nigerian, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, and so on. But then we also deal with people saying that the church does not have cultural diversity within it. The church is supposed to be diverse… I believe. So can we say that the big C church is diverse with these different churches that have a specific leaning to a cultural group? With this view I struggle with because then are we still practicing segregation? Or does every church need to have diversity within it of every culture that is present within that specific church gathering? I know that is a lot of questions, thanks if you are able to get to them, even with two episodes.
