The Mile of Music festival has been mentioned numerous times on Into The Music, it's time we talk in depth about it with its creator and curator, Dave Willems!
Music fans from here in northeast Wisconsin to just about everywhere in the USA (and probably the world!) know about the Mile of Music festival—four days of original music in early August from independent artists from a wide variety of genres. Dave Willems not only is the creator and curator of "The Mile," he's the owner of Appleton's premiere music venue, the Gibson Community Music Hall. Although the festival is only days in length, its spirit is carried throughout the year at Gibson with regular concerts and events that are in one way or another tied to Mile of Music. Dave is here to tell us how the two go hand-in-hand and what fans can expect at this year's Mile #11 taking place August 1-4.
