Archie Fruber is no closer to finding out what is going on at the Blood Sorrow Gathering of Vampires. His colleague, Dennis Blaine has destroyed Archie's evidence, and keeps trying to dissuade Archie from his investigations.

But when Archie follows Blaine, he ends up at the dark house of Aurora Anderson, and Archie manages to get away without a single bite mark to his neck.

When he gets a text from the dead, Archie is led into a trap and is forced to consider what on earth is going on!
