History was made tonight by America's new favorite team the UMBC Retrievers as they became the first ever 16 seed to take down a #1 seed! The Virginia Cavaliers, who were the #1 overall seed in the tournament have now reached the same level of misery as the Cleveland Browns did after going 0-16! Arizona's early exit adds to the already disappointing year that happened to PAC 12 teams in the postseason, and Witchita State was shocked by Marshall in another upset in the first round!
