First, the bitter pill to swallow. If you are alone as a grandparent, it is your fault. If your grandkids are not with you, if the couch beside you is empty, it is because they are economists--the cost of trying to be with you outweighs the benefit of them doing so. You are negative, narrow, mean and boring.
