Welcome to another episode of Have a Chat today’s guest is Matt Bate.

I really enjoyed sitting down with Matty for a chat as we’ve known one another since primary school. If you know Matty he’s a very humble man who doesn’t talk much about his achievements but he’s truly a talented sportsman. He’s represented Australia in Triathlon’s and competed at a professional level in surfing.

Matty talks about how he doesn’t have many competitive bones in him but still can compete at the highest levels. He explains it’s all about community being around a group of people to help achieve individual & team goals. The best part is enjoying the process and the journey on the way rather then the outcome at the end.

Matty is a big family man and shares the importance of being there for one another. Matty loves a holiday, a good surf trip and shares some of the best spots he’s been to along with some stories to go with it

Matty is just a down to earth top bloke I really enjoyed chewing the fat with him.
