The Digest

• We see that what the angel told Zechariah and in his doubt came to pass just as the angel said.

• We see that John’s life was necessary to be the forerunner of Jesus. He was setting the stage for the Savior telling people they needed to repent and we should do the same thing.

• We need to be warning people of the coming of Jesus by repentance of sins and salvation so that when he comes this time they will be with Him.

• We also see that before God uses John he takes him in the wilderness to grow him and prepare him for ministry.
