Abi shares a brief biography of Brandon Teena and describes the terrible language used in the media after his death. Brandon Teena was a trans man who was killed after reporting a hate crime. The poor handling of not only the assault case before his murder, but also the aftermath negatively impacted the queer community. However, the story started an important dialogue.
