Manage episode 318301466 series 1508943
Welcome back, Fellow Geeks, for Episode #185 of Geek So To Speak Podcast!
This week: We love peace, no matter how many podcasts we have to record to get it. So, with that in mind, we are reviewing the first four episodes of HBO Max's PEACEMAKER! Can this supporting character support his own show, or should he have just stayed dead after Suicide Squad? (spoiler alert)
THIS WEEK IN GEEK NEWS:
-MOON KNIGHT got a trailer this week, and he looks like he fell asleep in a toilet paper factory (in a good way).
-Microsoft buys Activision/Blizzard, and now XBOX is one step closer to world gaming domination!
-Joss Whedon digs his own grave and loses his Geek So To Speak "Friend of the Show" membership card and decoder ring.
All that, and tons more! Plus: Shoff is a real Trekker, WonderRob secretly loves Weird Al, Marc gets a brand new title (CineMarc!!!), and Vactor comes out of the basement (twice).
So sit back, relax, and thanks for tuning in... SAME GEEK TIME, SAME GEEK CHANNEL!
Don't forget to subscribe, and review! You'll be happy you did ;)

GSTS Corrections for Ep. 183
- During the Christmas gift unboxing Rob called Vactor the Corrections Department and Shoff correctly corrected him right away.
- In part of that same segment Rob said his mom went wherever Cheers was and got him his shirt - Cheers is located in Boston.
- During the corrections segment Rob asked when I moved to Arizona, I moved to Arizona in July of 2011.
- During the news section WonderRob asked Shoff if Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was based off of a book. The first film is inspired by a text book within the Harry Potter films of the same name (Newt even appears on the Marauder's Map in the film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.) As far as there being a book for each film that is adapted from a novel like the Harry Potter series that is not the same case for these movies. Each film in the Fantastic Beasts series has been co-written by she-who-must-not-be-named. They have had the screenplays for each film published after each film has been released though.
- Not a correction to WonderRob’s theory (of the non-deceased Spidey villains were “present day” versions) but while discussing the Spider-Man: No Way Home rules of when the villains were brought into the MCU, my own understanding was that they were brought in from the moment they learned Spider-Man was Peter Parker.
GSTS Corrections for Ep. 184
- During the worst films of 2021 section, WonderRob called "Halloween Kills" - "Halloween Kills Part 1", saying he had forgotten the name of the movie already. It's part of the new trilogy made up of "Halloween", "Halloween Kills", and "Halloween Ends".
