Dr. Reynolds sets a promising tone for future episodes, inviting listeners to join him in discovering the infinite connections between faith and academia.
THE MISSION
My mission is to help teachers and students avoid burnout by mastering research-based study skills from a faith-based perspective.
Educational reform initiatives have failed to invest in academic resources grounded in the science of learning—that is, learning how to learn. Faith Meets Academia podcast is filling this gap—on our terms. After listening each episode, you'll walk away with a new set of academic resources, including research based teaching and study skills. You can teach your team, your staff, your crew, your trainees, your students, or your ministers these skills. I am bringing these skills to you in a language that's understandable—in everyday language: No academic, professorial jargon here.
I'm taking the science of learning from the halls of academia, and I'm bringing them to you inside your car, inside your house, inside your office, inside your house of worship so that your life can be transformed in the work that you've been called to do. If you're a trainer, a teacher, a teacher of virtually subject, what you'll lear here will be transformative. If you're a student, the study skills you'll learn from this podcast will help you take the stress, the anxiety and the burnout out of learning. I'm telling you this from the standpoint of a professor and also from the standpoint of a student who had severe test anxiety in my younger days. Clearly, something that I did really worked to have brought me to this point. Keep listening. This is just the beginning.
