In Episode 7, we meet Gene Early, a NLP practitioner and Executive Coach with years of walking in Faith and communicating with Our Father. The conversation explored the complexities of faith, trauma, and familial relationships, with Gene reflecting on his mother's stoic faith and how it shaped his healing process. He noted that understanding his mother's limitations improved their relationship. Gene also discussed the distinction between doctrinal knowledge and a genuine connection with the Holy Spirit, sharing insights from his and his wife Benedicta's spiritual journeys. He described the fervor often seen in late conversions to faith, suggesting that individuals who come to the Lord later in life possess a passionate drive to make up for lost time.

Gene introduced a lifestyle model for inner healing that begins with joyful memories to facilitate encounters with Jesus, emphasizing its accessibility and effectiveness. He recommended several influential Christian leaders and resources for further spiritual growth, including teachings from Bill Johnson and Dallas Willard. Gene highlighted the importance of community support and personal investment in spiritual disciplines, encouraging individuals to seek the Holy Spirit's filling through prayer and participation in local church activities.

Gene Early engages at the interface of leadership and organizational development, catalyzing individual and organizational transformation. His work globally with CEOs, senior leaders, and Board members spans the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. With a deceptively light touch, he listens deeply to his clients and their teams discovering their essence while identifying core identities, competencies, and collaborations emerging from those identities. His congruence in walking the talk elicits deep trust offering powerful growth strategies to his clients and their organizations.

As a senior advisor in Leaders’ Quest, Gene has led learning journeys for over twenty years on four continents with senior executives from multi-nationals committed to integrating purpose and performance. When Covid hit, he pivoted from his primary work with Leaders’ Quest to establish a virtual coaching and consulting practice.

He presently is coaching the CEO and the President of 100 Coaches Agency, a talent organization birthed by Marshall Goldsmith and Scott Osman that curates and connects senior coaches with Fortune 50-100 CEOs and senior executives in the US and abroad. He is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Business Leaders Network. He also leads a collaboration of twos globally sourced program exploring the development of 10x Mindset and Action. His most recent writing includes 200 posts on the subject of 10x Mindset, 100 of which can be found at his LinkedIn site.

Previously, he co-founded Genomic Health, a Silicon Valley molecular diagnostic company that produced the first genomic based, breast cancer diagnostic test. In addition, he was Vice-Chancellor of Operations at the University of the Nations-Kona, the original resource campus for this global university with branch campuses in over 600 locations. While living in Copenhagen, he co-founded the first NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Institute in Europe to train professionals in sophisticated communication skills and helped develop NLP institutes in six European countries. During this time, he also worked with CEOs in the Academy of Chief Executives (UK) as a strategic thinking partner in executive development. His PhD is in leadership and organizational development.
