Lara de Liedekerke-Meier, a distinguished Belgian equestrian, has balanced a robust academic background with a successful riding career. She started riding at seven and excelled academically, earning a BSc in Business Administration and an MSc in Business Sciences from the Institut des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Brussels.

Lara made her mark by placing 10th at the 2014 Badminton Horse Trials and has consistently represented Belgium in European Championships across all levels. Beyond competing, she trains young horses and manages international events at the Arville estate owned by her family. Married to German international rider Kai-Steffen Meier, Lara continues to be a leading figure in eventing, achieving the highest number of international runs and clear cross-country jumps in 2023.
