Are you a parent that struggles with communicating with your kids about sex? On this week’s episode of Embracing Your Season, host Paige Clingenpeel gives pointers for having the “sex talk” with our kids. We’ve been designed for a purpose and on purpose. We were not just born knowing how to live our divine design, we have to be taught those things which is where we as parents come into it. We need to be having healthy conversations with our kids.

- This is beyond just the “mechanics” conversation. We want our children to come to us and ask questions because it builds trust and we can answer questions truthfully. These conversations will equip them.
- Be specific and as age appropriate as possible. Listen to their reactions to gauge how they are processing conversations. This is not just a one time talk, it should be a continuous conversation. Talk about temptations. Our bodies are designed to be stimulated but we need to have self-control.
- Find answers from the Bible and encourage them to do the same.
- Focus on the “what to do’s” instead of the “do not’s”.
