Solo traveling as a Black woman, shooting your shot, and the magic of the in-between with TV writer Cynthia Adarkwa
Manage episode 346075123 series 3409403
In this week's episode, we talk to Cynthia Adarkwa, a Ghanaian-American television writer who strives to tell honest stories about Black women finding their place in the world. Cynthia recently spent a month in Europe experiencing, what she calls, her own “eat, pray, love” adventure. She briefed us on what it was like traveling from Lisbon to Paris to Milan and back, app dating abroad, making professional connections on social media and so much more.
You can follow Cynthia on Instagram here and on Twitter here.

Eat Drink Sleep Repeat is produced by Allison Ramirez and Omar Lewis. Please bear with us as we continue to work through some bugs, which include streamlining our equipment for better sound quality. The beauty of travel is that you can be anywhere on any given day, but the down side when you have a podcast is that every little thing (the shape and size of the room, how high the ceilings are, dogs barking and birds chirping, using a Zoom microphone vs. AirPods vs. actual professional mics and headphones) makes a difference. We’re practicing and learning and we THANK YOU for being so supportive and continuing to provide us with the most thoughtful feedback week after week.
EDSR is hosted on Buzzsprout.
