Chris Nowinski is a former football player at Harvard University and professional wrestler with WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. After enduring a career-ending head injury, Chris has dedicated his professional life to serving patients and families affected by brain trauma, particularly Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that develops after repeated head injuries. In the penultimate Book Club for 2024 Tadd and Peter jump into Hambry as they begin the harvest and await the coming Reap Festival. Rhea makes up with Musty and the Glass while thinking of a way to pay Susan back. Alain and Cuthbert have it out with Roland and out of it comes and idea for moving to The Drop after warning the Town where they will be and when. The next day on the way Roland makes a mistake with Susan in the window and Cordelia sees, they give their schedule to Avery. Susan has a blow up with Cordelia about the wave from Roland. Avery and company rejoice at the stupidity of the boys, but Jonas doesn't buy it.

Sections Covered Part 3 Chapter 4, Subchapters 1–12) In the first Book Club of 2025 Tadd and Peter dive back into Wizard & Glass. They find the young Ka-Tet leaving for the day and Roland sees something before they leave. Sheemie has to go up the Cöos to deliver something to Rhea and is given something to deliver to Cordelia. Alain senses that something is wrong back at the Bar K, Roland doesn't seem to care. What he is sense is Jonas destroying and defiling everything and killing their carrier pigeons. Then on finding the defilement there is a massive explosion between Cuthbert and Roland that nearly comes to blows and the words are brutal. After leaving Cuthbert runs into Sheemie coming back down Cöos hill. Jonas returns to find Depape shook as one of Farson's men has showed up and he is mayhap more than a man.
