Days of Our Lives spoilers produced a new theory emerging that suggests Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) could in fact be Abigail Deveraux (AnnaLynne McCord). The rumor suggests that Abby's supposed death might be a ruse, and the character of Cat might be Abby undergoing memory-related issues. This speculation originated when AnnaLynne McCord was cast on Days following Marci Miller's departure. Stirring up more intrigue, a DNA test showed a match between Cat and Abby's father, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), which further intensifies the mystery.

DOOL spoilers suggest the storyline gets more complicated as it is revealed that Cat and her brother Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) were blackmailed by Clyde Weston (James Read) to pretend Cat was Abby and marry Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). The plot aimed to kill Chad and take his wealth once he was gone. However, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) managed to figure out their scheme and save Chad.

Spoilers for Days of Our Lives suggest the theory of Abby's resurrection is quite plausible considering history of dramatic resurrections and supernatural elements on the show. The character of Cat might have been brainwashed or mind-controlled, with Abby's memories implanted in her, a trick pulled by Clyde and possibly Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) or Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). This could be a way for them to get back at Abby and create chaos for the DiMeras.

More DOOL spoilers indicate the revelation of Cat being Abby could lead to devastating consequences for Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain), Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary), and Chad, who have all shown hostility towards Cat. Additionally, it might lead to a shocking twist if Cat, being Abby, falls for EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), her former fling, instead of Chad.
