In today’s episode, a police officer facing trial for rape and domestic violence has won an appeal that means he will be released from custody on bail.

Elsewhere, Germany was preparing to evacuate thousands of its nationals from Lebanon and elsewhere in the Middle East via Cyprus, amid concerns over an escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Also, three men were found guilty on Tuesday of 17 charges each in relation to the murder of Turkish Cypriot businessman Halil Falyali and his chauffeur Murat Demirtas in February 2022.
