In today’s episode, a series of events and memorial services were held to commemorate the 28th anniversary of the deaths of Tasos Isaac and Solomos Solomou, who were killed during demonstrations in the buffer zone in 1996, as well as the Helios air disaster, which occurred in 2005.

Meanwhile, Cyprus "has a duty to help" in the evacuation of European Union and third countries' citizens from crisis areas in the region, Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas said.

Elsewhere, the Cypriot foreign ministry said it was "appalled" by the Israeli bombing of the Tabeen school in Gaza City.
