"A Legacy of Faith and Obedience" (Luke 2:21-40) June 16, 2024
Manage episode 424394346 series 3497757
As we continue in our current sermon series on Luke, we dive into the rich narrative of Luke 2:21-40, where the early life of Jesus is illuminated through significant events like His circumcision, naming, and presentation at the Temple.
This passage highlights the faithfulness and obedience of His parents, Mary and Joseph, and introduces us to devout and committed figures like Simeon and Anna, who recognize Jesus as the Messiah and tend to the things that matter to Him.
Discover profound insights and spiritual lessons from these verses that underscore Jesus' divine identity and His destined role in God's salvation plan. Discover also how characters in the story, from Mary and Joseph to Simeon and Anna, created and left a legacy of faith and obedience.
We ask the same questions: How are we creating and leaving a legacy that matters? We're all creating and leaving one behind, whether we care to admit it or not, but does that legacy matter?
We meet weekly at the City Centre Community Centre in Richmond, British Columbia. We gather for worship on the 3F! Everyone is welcome to come!
