In this episode of Consumer Behavior Conversations, we (Gavin Longthorne and Kevin Carr) sit down for an interview with Shawn Paschke. Shawn is currently a Large Accounts Manager for Xcel Energy and has served in a variety of roles since his graduation from St. Cloud State. During the interview, we will discuss with Shawn the day-to-day responsibilities he carries as a representative for one of the nation’s largest electric companies. The conversation will also dive in to how Shawn ended up where he is today in terms of academics, work history, and other experiences. Shawn specifically discusses the importance he sees in forming and maintaining connections in order to grow a professional network. Relating the discussion back to the consumer behavior, we will talk with Shawn about the different types of relationships he has formed with his clients over the years. This topic will cover both the creation and maintenance of relationships as well as the differences they can carry between different clients. Finally, Shawn will help give us real life examples related to key topics we have covered in our professional sales coursework at NDSU.
