Elly Platt is a costume maker and textile artist, who creates works of wearable art and other embroidered installations using lost or discarded textiles. Her work focuses on the way we interact with our environment, and our relationships with our clothes. She is passionate about sustainable fashion and vintage clothing, but embarrassed about the size of her mending pile. She soothes her eco anxiety with local walks, meditating on what the natural world is revealing to her.
