David and Jonathan give us a portrait of excellent Biblical friendship, rooted in a forward-looking focus on God's will, and promises of shared kindness. But friendship is too small a word for the bond we share in Christ. What kind of relationship do we have with each other? What is the basis of this friendship-that-is-more-than-friendship?
