HSE Mid West Has Made A Key Appointment

Dr Terry Hennessy has been appointed as the Regional Clinical Lead for Strategy and Development of health services in the region. To find out more, Alan Morrissey was joined by HSE Mid West’s Regional Clinical Lead for Strategy and Development, Dr Terry Hennesssy. On Thursday, there were 104 patients waiting for a bed at University Hospital Limerick: 41 on trolleys and 63 on wards. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, the figures for UHL were 98; 110; and 109 respectively. Meanwhile, the Midwest Hospitals Campaign Group says it was contacted by people who attended the emergency department at UHL in recent days, who became increasingly desperate at the number of people waiting to be seen.
