Pastor Laura took time this week to focus on worship in her message, "The Power of Worship!" As we continue going through our 21 days of corporate prayer & fasting we're also placing an emphasis on the act of daily worship. Living our lives in a way that as the Apostle Paul says, a "living sacrifice." Pastor Laura defined what worship is according to scripture, and presented and answered the following 2 questions:
- So if we're going to worship someone/something, why should it be God? (Psalm 95:1-11; Acts 17:24-28
- Do you worship God in a way that draws others to worship God as well?
Bottom Line: In Psalm 40:3 we see David mention 2 profound elements of worship: Celebration (vertical expression) and Proclamation (horizontal expression).
