The authorities want us to believe Jay's death was the result of a poor decision on Jay's part; to try and hike 11 hours back to Los Christianos or at least to hike several hours down to the nearest beach. If there really was no foul play involved in Jay heading out into that rough terrain without proper clothing, without any water, without any food, without a fully charged cellphone, without a map, then what could have led him to make such a poor decision?
