Genesis 3 describes the greatest tragedy in all of human history! The movement from a blissful existence of unending life with God to the crushing reality of a fallen world and certain death is held before us. The narrative of Adam and Eve's fall from grace is not meant to entertain and educate as were the ancient Greek tragedies. This real tragedy is one in which we participate! It is about Adam and Eve, but it is also about us…not only our birth in the 'image of Adam and Eve' but also our rebirth into Christ – the seed of the woman.
