This is the second of a two-part recording of an X/Twitter space in which I introduce Plato's longest dialogue, the Laws. I provide a broad overview of the dialogue for the series I'm about to release for subscribing customers on the entire dialogue.
Here I discuss some additional aspects of the dialogue regarding the first part and how “law [nomos]” as a concept unfolds in Plato as the best entryway into what we might otherwise refer to as “metaphysics” or “ontology” and the divine. In other words, at issue in Plato's dialogue the Laws is simply everything of significance in the life of man.
