A festive Boxing Day episode, sharing updates on fishing across KZN.
• Rock and Surf: North Coast reports limited action, mostly non-edible species like sand sharks. As you move south to Durban, there's a mix of edible and non-edible species, with grey sharks dominating. The harbor is a great place for family fishing, with kingfish and granting reports. On the South Coast, Warner Beach has been dominated by grey sharks, with better action further south, from Sizella to Port Edward, offering a variety of species like Dorado, Shad, and Kob.
• Offshore: Pelagic species are abundant, with tuna, dorado, and couta in the north. The Dorado Derby in Durban saw great success, with the a specific pink lure being particularly effective. Wahoo and tuna are also appearing further south.
• Freshwater: Trout fishing has slowed due to warmer weather, but yellowfish are active, with good reports from Sterkfontein. Carp fishing continues strong at Hazelmere and Inanda. Vinesh's website
