Literature and flying? … several are the connections … there are famous writers who are pilots and pilots who write and publish… Saint’Exupery for instance the renown author of the Le Petit Prince, L’aviator and Vol de nuit … and T.H. Lawrence known as Lawrence of Arabia and The Seven Pillars of Wisdom …
In our contemporary literature there is a name, of an American writer, who immediately evokes a bestseller; Jonathan Livingstone Seagull written by Richard Bach and first published in 1970. Bach originally wrote it as a series of short stories, that were published in ‘Flying magazine’ due to the fact that he is also a very famous and taletned pilot.
Several are the quotes that after 40 years still impact our feelings and perceptions, some of them sound nowadays so perfect...
