In this week’s episode, I tackle the rise of the “I’m offended” crowd - a devious and calculated game that threatens your freedom of speech. This manipulative strategy has surged over the past decade, weaponising feelings to silence those with differing views. I break down nine practical responses you can use when someone plays this game with you. From the dismissive “And?” to more playful or pointed replies, I urge you to be prepared and never to apologise for speaking your truth. Freedom of speech is foundational to a free society. If we surrender it in the name of avoiding offence, we are colluding with those who seek to erode our rights. As Stephen Fry once said, “So what if you're offended?” We need to call out this nonsense for what it is - and push back. I also share a limerick that captures the absurdity of the offence culture and talk about the importance of speaking truthfully on controversial issues, from political correctness to the transgender debate. If we remain silent, bad laws and oppressive bureaucracies will continue to expand unchecked. On the health front, I highlight the importance of vitamin C and hydration. With increasing environmental toxins - from chemtrails to electromagnetic radiation—our bodies need support to stay strong. Constipation is the root of many health issues, and proper elimination is key. Finally, I invite you to listen to my recent podcast appearance with Adam Gibson titled “Truth vs Comfort: A Leadership Dilemma” where we explore leadership, passion, and the low-energy culture affecting Australia’s future. In this 225th episode, which also marks the fifth anniversary of the Show, I reflect on one of the biggest questions we all face: will you choose truth or comfort? The recent announcement of a federal election in Australia sparked my further exploration of how our values shape our choices — especially when it comes to government spending, personal integrity, and national sustainability. More than half of Australian adults are on the government payroll in one form or another. It’s easy to stay comfortable when that money keeps flowing — but at what cost to the truth and our future? I delve into the dangers of ongoing deficit spending and why this path, while comfortable now, spells long-term disaster. I also share nine real-life examples where people are confronted with this truth vs comfort dilemma — in the workplace, in families, in leadership, and even in how we treat our children. I challenge you to examine whether your daily choices are driven by principle or by the desire to avoid discomfort. Plus, I touch on my ongoing excitement about industrial hemp and its potential to revolutionise industries and solve major problems — and why we must Make Australia Hemp Aware and Make America Hemp Aware (MAHA x 2). Don’t forget to visit HempHorizons.org , and if you want the follow-up Zoom session link from the Hemp Horizons Conference, just reach out. Remember: your values shape your reality. In this episode, I share my recent travels to Ireland and Hungary, where I pursued my mission to promote industrial hemp as a solution to Ireland’s looming €8 billion emissions penalty from the EU. Speaking at the Hemp Horizons Conference in Dublin, I outlined five practical ways hemp can help reduce greenhouse gases while revitalising Irish agriculture. From uniforms for first responders to sustainable construction materials, the opportunities are enormous - if only governments had the vision to invest. I also discuss my meetings with Dr Gerry Waters, who has been unjustly targeted by the Irish Medical Council, and Jessica Richards, whose book The Topic of Cancer sheds light on alternative approaches to health. My exploration of health continues with Bill Bryson’s The Body , a must-read that highlights how little we truly understand about the human body—despite what so-called experts claim. Beyond hemp and health, I reflect on the nature of truth. My time in Ireland, Hungary, and Australia has reinforced how vastly different perspectives can be, depending on which media sources you consume. Whether it's the climate agenda, global politics, effective health solutions, quality education of children, or the role of powerful elites, deep exploration is essential for effective thinking to then drive your decision-making abilities. I hope this episode inspires you to take charge of your health, question the narratives presented to you, and pursue your passions with courage. Stay passionate, and I’ll see you next week! In this episode, just after Valentine's Day, I focus on the extraordinary potential of industrial hemp and its power to revolutionise our world. As I prepare to travel to Europe to speak at the Hemp Horizons Conference in Dublin, Ireland on 27 February , I share powerful, startling, provocative insights into how hemp can solve major global challenges. (Go to hemphorizons.org) Australia faces a housing crisis, needing 1.2 million new homes, yet timber supply challenges are significant. The solution? Hemp. It can replace traditional building materials, offering fire-resistant, temperature-regulating, and environmentally sustainable homes. Imagine if every home lost in the recent Los Angeles wildfires had been fireproof—hemp homes make that a reality. Say goodbye to air conditioning and heating—hemp homes maintain a comfortable and reliable 20 degrees year-round, effortlessly. Plastic pollution is choking our planet, but hemp bioplastics offer a clean alternative. Farmers seeking higher profits can turn to hemp, a crop that regenerates soil while unlocking incredible financial opportunities. And for personal health? Hemp seeds and oil are essential for well-being—and yes, men, hemp can even enhance your performance! Because hemp solves housing and men's problems, how about this for a new slogan: "Hemp seeds: fueling the rise of man since the dawn of time!" I discuss my roles as Managing Director of Textile & Composite Industries , President of the Australian Industrial Hemp Alliance , and a board member of the Federation of International Hemp Organizations , giving me global and local perspectives and insights on this remarkable plant. I invite you to come to the Hemp Horizons Conference in Dublin on Thursday 27 February, where I will share important information and insights with industry leaders, government officials, and passionate advocates. Finally, I reflect on health and the impact of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services. With Americans comprising 4% of the world's population and consuming 70% of the world’s pharmaceuticals, it's time to rethink health priorities—starting with hemp. Anxiety is a debilitating force that holds many people back, but it doesn’t have to. In this episode, I share a wonderful roadmap to eliminate anxiety with nine practical steps that can transform your anxious life. Drawing on over 31 years of experience working with clients, I guide you through a structured process to understand, identify, and ultimately overcome the beliefs and thoughts that fuel anxiety. From defining what anxiety means to you, to pinpointing where you feel it in your body, to exploring and replacing the beliefs that underpin it, these steps are designed to empower you. I also explore how imagining the worst-case scenario—and realising your own resilience—can dissolve fear and boost confidence. Laughter is a powerful tool in this journey, so I share some limericks to poke fun at anxiety’s irrational nature. These steps take time and effort, but the rewards are life-changing. If you or someone you know struggles with anxiety, this episode offers real, actionable strategies. And remember, I’m always here to help if you need support in implementing them. Don’t let anxiety dictate your life—take control, embrace challenge, and step into a more passionate, fulfilling existence. In this episode, I reflect on Australia Day 2025 and the broader concept of national culture. Every nation has a culture shaped by its people, and I challenge you to consider: what do you want your national culture to be? Drawing on examples from Australian history and my family’s immigrant journey from Hungary, I discuss how culture evolves, how migration influences it, and why not all cultures are of equal value. I explore key elements of Australian culture—fairness, egalitarianism, helping others, a sense of humour, and standing against injustice—and the importance of protecting these values against forces like wokeness, political correctness, and other minority-driven agendas that threaten cultural harmony. I share my thoughts on why pushing back and speaking up is essential to preserving the freedoms and principles we hold dear that in fact create our culture. On a lighter note, I share an Aussie joke and a health tip: always read the information on any medication or injection you’re taking. As always, I encourage you to embrace passion, self-awareness, and the joy of living fully. Thank you for tuning in. In this episode, I dive into a bold and powerful theme for 2025: "Holding the Bastards Accountable." I share my vision for ensuring that politicians and bureaucrats who behave badly, dishonestly, or corruptly are held to account, even after leaving office. Reflecting on the changes since the start of this show in 2020, I highlight how much our lives have shifted and the importance of stepping up as "we the people." I explore practical strategies to make life uncomfortable for those who betrayed public trust, such as exposing their wrongdoings, boycotting their employers, and challenging their ill-gotten gains. These actions serve to warn current politicians that retiring from public life won't shield them from consequences. This year, I urge us all to rise up and act against dishonesty, corruption, and manipulation by our leaders. Together, we can demand better governance and foster a society where accountability reigns. I hope this episode inspires you to take action, embrace your power, and live passionately. In this week's episode, I explore the fascinating concept of reality and how we can shape it. As we approach the Christmas and New Year period—a time of reflection and possibilities—it's the perfect opportunity to examine what drives our beliefs and behaviours. I discuss the truth that we each create our reality and I unpack what it means to be "realistic". I pose nine pivotal questions designed to challenge your perspectives and help you reframe your life. Questions such as, "Are most people kind or unkind?" or "Do you believe you need to be rich to be successful?" reveal how our answers shape our daily decision-making and long-term outcomes. I delve into the significance of these answers and how even subtle shifts in our thinking can lead to dramatic changes in our lives. This episode also includes insights into how beliefs about government, health, and success influence our decision-making. I share the powerful idea that adjusting your answers to these questions is like changing the trajectory of a plane—tiny adjustments can land you in a vastly different place. For inspiration, I recommend James Clear’s "Atomic Habits," a guide to achieving remarkable results through small but meaningful changes. Let’s use this holiday season to redefine our realities, create new definitions of what "realistic" means and embrace a life full of passion and self-awareness. In this week’s episode of The Charles Kovess Show, I explore the profound insights and inspirations gleaned from Barbra Streisand’s new autobiography, My Name is Barbra . This 950-page masterpiece not only showcases her exceptional career and achievements but also provides a powerful lens through which we can examine self-awareness and passion. Barbra’s detailed journaling, a habit she maintained throughout her life, is a key enabler of the book’s depth. This underscores the importance and value for you of keeping a diary, especially the tactile experience of handwriting, which helps deepen self-reflection and recall. I encourage you to embrace writing as a tool for self-awareness, clarity and growth. The book also offers insights into Barbra’s psychological exploration through her films. Her courage in addressing childhood trauma and societal challenges through storytelling is remarkable and serves as a reminder of the power of art in understanding our complex human psychology. Barbra’s journey from a young girl with no money and little support to a global superstar is an inspiring tale of resilience, determination, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Even her fear of performing live for 27 years, and the eventual triumph over that fear, illustrates how passion is a powerful source of courage: doing what you fear! I discuss her passion for excellence, her interactions with other global superstars, and the valuable lessons we can draw about beauty, perseverance, and overcoming doubts. Barbra’s life reminds us that the challenges we are willing to face rather than to avoid them are each opportunities for our growth. I hope this episode inspires you to embrace your own passion, strive for excellence, and develop your self-awareness to live life on your terms. Stay passionate, and I’ll see you next week! In this week’s episode, I explore the concept of tipping points in history and the profound impact they have on humanity. Using examples such as the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reigns of leaders like Stalin and Hitler, I delve into how pivotal moments can drastically alter our trajectory, for better or worse. The focus of this episode is my declaration that Donald Trump’s re-election would mark a crucial tipping point—a positive shift in the direction of humanity. I outline several reasons for this perspective. Trump’s return could counteract harmful trends such as unrestricted illegal immigration and the erosion of national borders, and it could address critical issues like law enforcement funding and the proper investigation of the C0VlD-19 pandemic's mismanagement. His leadership might also expose corruption in Big Pharma, improve public health practices, and inspire freedom groups to more passionately and effectively challenge the status quo. Additionally, I stress the importance of recognising tipping points in our personal lives. By reflecting on these moments, we can make better decisions and align with what truly matters. I challenge you to speak up for truth, even when it’s uncomfortable, and to remain vigilant by sourcing your information from multiple sources and perspectives. Tipping points remind us of our power to influence the future. As always, I encourage you to embrace self-awareness, act with courage, and nurture your passion. See you next week! In this episode, I explore the recently released Australian government inquiry into its C0V!D-19 actions. This inquiry, though limited and nowhere near the thoroughness of a proper Royal Commission, uncovers a disturbing catalogue of questionable and unlawful conduct by politicians, public servants, and government consultants. I argue that these were not "mistakes" as claimed, but deliberate strategies to enforce a harmful agenda, ignoring core human rights and trampling on the formerly well-established and well-observed Nuremberg Code. The inquiry highlights how experts with opposing views to those of governments were shockingly silenced and punished, totally ignoring the fundamental principles of natural justice. I give the example of a judge in court listening to the plaintiff and then judging the case without giving the defendant an opportunity to put his or her case! It was, and is, outrageous, and I urge to be outraged. I contend that these violations of fundamental human rights and fundamental principles of justice and law are driven by a sinister agenda pushing towards centralised, one-world governance—a direction spearheaded by bodies like the World Health Organization (WHO) under the guise of "global health management for your safety". Please protect us all from this desire of Governments all around the world to "keep us safe". Governments have shown that they do not care about the vast majority of people whom they govern. This episode is a call for accountability. Politicians and officials responsible for these decisions should face lifelong accountability. I urge listeners not to trust governments blindly, but to question and actively resist erosions of freedom and justice. Your role is crucial in safeguarding truth, justice, and freedom for future generations. Let us hold these miscreants to account, in whatever way resonates with your passion and your self-awareness about the meaning of your life, and ensure that our voices are heard. In this week’s episode, I dive deep into the critical issue of the rule of law and its importance in maintaining a well-functional society. I argue that the rule of law is being systematically undermined, it is being trashed, not just in Australia, but globally. This is causing immense harm to individuals and communities as governments and legal systems fail to uphold justice. I share personal insights from my 20 years of legal experience and explain how the trashing of the rule of law allows criminal gangs, like bikie gangs, to thrive. One of the key reasons that allows this trashing to occur is the lack of understanding of law among the general public, which is a deliberate government strategy. I call on governments to recommence teaching the basics of law in schools to empower people and protect democracy. In this episode, I provide specific examples, from controversial court rulings to personal accounts of legal standing being denied, showing how the legal system is failing. I also discuss high-profile cases like the Australian Vaccination Risks Network and Monica Smit's fight against government overreach, illustrating the unacceptable bias within the judiciary. In closing, I offer practical recommendations for restoring the rule of law, from learning about the legal system to supporting legal funds and donating to causes that protect our freedoms. The rule of law is vital for your rights and freedoms, and it’s time we understand more deeply why this is so and that we all stand up to protect it. In this episode, I tackle the troubling issue of politicians behaving badly. While it's easy to dismiss this as something they always do, I’m particularly frustrated with how blatant this bad behaviour has become. What makes it worse is that we, the public, have elected these politicians and yet we treat them as if they’re above us. It’s time to stop treating them like demigods and remember that they are our servants, not the other way around. The increase in information over the years has made us more aware of the frequent misconduct of politicians. However, simply knowing isn't enough—we need to create better and more effective systems to hold them accountable. From Australia's Senate inquiry into excess deaths C-19 jabs, to the Victorian economy’s financial chaos under former premier Daniel Andrews, politicians have consistently failed us. In Victoria, reckless spending and astronomical debt are pushing the state into financial ruin, benefiting only a small elite while burdening everyone else. This mirrors global trends where governments have aligned with big business, leading to the decimation of the middle class and dangerous increases in government overreach. The wealth accumulation of politicians, like Daniel Andrews and Nancy Pelosi, is another pressing issue. Politicians enter public office with modest means, but many leave as multi-millionaires. This should make us question whether they are truly representing our interests or lining their own pockets. I also discuss Australia’s new Misinformation and Disinformation Bill, which aims to silence free speech by allowing the government to define what’s true. This legislation is an attack on our fundamental freedoms, and I urge everyone not to comply if it becomes law. The influence of Big Pharma on politicians is another dangerous example of how our system is being manipulated. Ultimately, I challenge you to ask yourself: what are you passionate about, and what are you willing to do to stop these abuses? If we don’t take action, we are part of the problem. We are each personally responsible for the future of our respective states and nations. We are NOT accountable, but we ARE responsible! In this week’s episode, I focus on a single but powerful idea: the question of education. I reflect on what a "good" education means, noting that despite its universal importance, there’s no consensus on what a “good” education actually is. Some view success as a direct result of formal schooling, but I challenge this by sharing examples of highly successful and competent individuals who had shitty schooling experiences. It is obvious, I say, that success is not solely defined by education, but by one’s ability to progressively realise a worthy ideal. I highlight the problems in modern schooling, especially the absence of spiritual education, which I see as a deliberate strategy that hinders children’s personal development. Without spirituality, I believe, children are deprived of a critical component of their human capacity. This leads me to advocate for homeschooling as a viable alternative. I outline its benefits: efficiency, tailored learning, and the nurturing of a love for lifelong learning. Ultimately, I encourage parents to critically assess their values and integrity to then guide the choice of educational environments for their children. After all, education is more than just academic achievement; it shapes a child’s worldview and future. Consider whether homeschooling might be a better option if formal schooling no longer aligns with your family’s values. I recommend my first book, Passionate People Produce, and its final two chapters on education, for more in-depth consideration. In this week’s episode, I dive into the remarkable power of imagination and its vital role in our lives. I discuss how imagination, more important than knowledge as Albert Einstein said, is a unique human quality that enables us to solve problems and unlock our potential. Unlike artificial intelligence or robots, we possess a "minestrone soup" of conscious and subconscious mind, spirit, and life experiences, all of which fuel our imagination. I urge you to tap into this resource to address the challenges in your life. Using a real-life example of individuals fighting for justice, I demonstrate how a shift in thinking—away from fear and towards love—can unleash creative solutions. Whether it’s raising funds for a court case or resolving personal issues, one key tactic is to sit down and write out at least 20 possible solutions. This can be daunting at first, but your imagination, combined with spiritual and mental resources, can break through the toughest obstacles. I also discuss how the ongoing erosion of freedom threatens our capacity to imagine. Governments, with their misinformation and security-for-freedom trade-offs, stifle creativity and innovation. It’s crucial to resist these limitations to maintain our freedom and unleash human imagination. For resources, I recommend the writings of investigative journalist Jon Rappaport, who has been a long-time advocate for imagination and freedom. Let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve with the power of imagination. See you next week!
