Greg has been with CORUS and AM640 since Fall 2019 when he crossed over from Sportsnet 590, the Fan after 9 1/2 years wanting to do something more challenging and diverse than "just" sports. After success early in his career in Detroit co-hosting the top-rated morning sports talk show in the entire state of Michigan from 2002 to 2007, Greg came to Toronto and CORUS/AM640 to co-host "The Bill Watters Show" when the company had the broadcast rights to the Toronto Maple Leafs. His time at Sportsnet 590, The Fan began in 2010, and also featured a successful run in morning drive in two incarnations, between 2011 and 2019, so morning audiences are already very familiar in Toronto with his knowledge and personality. Greg has broadcast play-by-play from several Super Bowls for radio in the United Kingdom, and handled OHL play-by-play for the Windsor Spitfires and Saginaw Spirit from 2002-2008. His radio recipe is to "play the hits" and "keep things moving", with a mix of news, politics, social commentary, sports, and entertainment. The things people talk about at their dining room table, backyard barbecues, and at kids' sporting events are the things he wants the show to be about. Greg's current joy is navigating two teenage boys through as he describes it, "an era of adjustment" with his wife of 17 years. His hobbies include making music playlists for runs at the gym, tennis, reading music biographies, and watching documentaries when live news and sports isn't consuming him.

Canada’s 45th general election is officially underway. In five weeks voters will head to the polls to decide who will be the next prime minister. Liberal Leader Mark Carney is calling for a “strong, positive mandate” to take on U.S. President Donald Trump. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says a Tory government will be “respectful and firm” when standing up to Trump. The NDP, meanwhile, kicked off a campaign that is likely to be critical for Jagmeet Singh’s party and the Bloc Quebecois are also facing unexpected headwinds. Greg Brady and the panel of: Steve Paikin Author and Broadcaster, host of TVO’s ‘The Agenda’ Chloe Brown , policy analyst and former Toronto mayoral candidate. Discuss: 1-OK, many are talking about Mark Carney & responses to The Globe & Mail’s Stephanie Levitz, & CBC’s Rosemary Barton. Let’s play the clips and see if you feel this is a tone and a dismissiveness that hurts Mark Carney - the more people who see moments like this? 2-I’ve never seen polling SO over the map - we’re all noticing this, aren’t we. Some Ontario Election polls had the Ford government pulling in 92-93 seats, some had them winning closer to 70 - 6 more than a majority. The last three US elections have been all over the place. So how often do YOU trust them? 3-I’m very saddened by the Hudson’s Bay story. But I haven’t shopped consistently there in maybe….15-16 years. Millions are like me. It was either less convenient or less practical. But is this just….we’ve moved into a different world. The giant department store can’t thrive, and YET, the cheaper “big box” stores do. How do you see it? 4-Have a read at this - real risk for Canadian businesses moving to the States - but isn’t there a risk for alienating American businesses here? We’re kind of being outwardly….ugly? Towards American businesses that do employ Canadians? Have we done this with any other country in the last 60 years? Countries with abhorrent human rights records to workers in general, women, gay people - we buy their products, we let them play sports here, we don’t ban immigrants from those countries - I’m worried that this is turning anti-US, not anti-Trump - what’s the line for you? 5-JFK Files today? Why couldn’t a better US President do this?! Have a theory we haven’t heard - what’s the answer to the question you’d most like to know? Learn more about your ad choices. Greg Brady and the panel of: Anthony Furey , columnist, 640 Toronto Contributor, council candidate for Don Valley West Ariella Kimmel , executive director of a new advocacy group called A Better City (ABC) Toronto Discuss: 1-We’re probably a week away - less than that, from a federal election call - Parliament is supposed to be back in session a week from today - on March 24th - I think we all agree it won’t be. This OBVIOUSLY will be a fight that many of us didn’t think would happen 3 months ago. The narrative is - Justin Trudeau is/was the villain…time for him to go, time to make him pay - but the worst thing for the CPC happened….he left on his own. Are the Conservatives struggling to pivot? 2-I had a conversation on the weekend with - let’s call them “undecided” voters - and one person thought Carney will just play keepaway as humanly often as possible, won’t visit Trump, won’t settle into talks to re-define trade - and that would benefit him. The other person, incredulously, was more thinking that’s an unbelievably cynical thing to do - he’s got 6-7 weeks to show he’s up to this - and hiding from Trump will expose who and what he is - is one side more correct? 3-TTC Fare inspectors on buses today - is this any sort of sign the city IS getting more serious about fare evasion? 4- Chow to appear on CNN....The City won't entertain bids by American companies any longer....is this merely performative? Greg Brady and the panel of: Laryssa Waler , Founder of Henley Strategies Sharan Kaur , Political strategist and partner at Sovereign Advisory Discuss: 1 - OK - how significant is today - look, I find it hard to root against people who make the decisions in our society - I want them to make the right ones…..but this just feels SO temporary. How artificial will the Carney-as-PM thing feel until an election is called and a result comes? 2 - Let’s keep it eye-level for listeners - but is there anything remarkably interesting about Mark Carney’s Cabinet choices - they really won’t do much legislating given we’re almost certainly going to an election call.. 3 - How will Trump talk about Carney? 4 - This story re: Toronto City Council and an unelected Council position.
