As a church, we are all about following Jesus and know there’s no end to that journey—we’re more about becoming than arriving. We are committed to becoming a multi-generational, multi-ethnic, multiplying movement of Christ followers, equipping and empowering our kids and students to not only be the church of tomorrow, but the church of today.

An encouragement today for Christians to remain in Jesus having strong confidence of his return rejoicing at the privilege of being the children of God.
We are often tempted to love the things of the world and listen to the lies of the antichrists. In today's passage, John warns his readers against the dangers of these spiritual threats and urges them to remain in Christ because they have all that they need: the truth and the Spirit.
A mistake you could make when thinking about the crucifixion of Jesus, is to think that Jesus was somehow a victim. But this is far from the case. Even though Judas, Peter, the crowds and disciples all fail him, we see Jesus spectacularly in control and acting to fulfil scripture. However, there’s a lesson for us from each of the disciple’s actions. UGVuTkrLxoevD30ioskq…
Today we are on Holy Ground as we eavesdrop on a private conversation between God the Father and God the Son as they discuss the plan to save the world. Dominic Steele takes us to Matthew 26:36-44 and the Garden of Gethsemane and there are lessons about the nature of the godhead, the relations between members of the trinity, Forgiveness, Salvation. Fatherhood and even submission.…
There is a line of tantalising joy in today's bible reading as Jesus promises his followers that he won't drink wine again until he drinks it with them (us!) in heaven! But there's a super confronting line as well for the person who betrays Jesus. Join us at Village Church.
Today in the last moment of public teaching before his death, we are listening to Jesus on final judgement. And Jesus speaks with clarity about the DNA of those who follow him.
For our first Sunday of our 2025 vision series Ben, Tom and Fiona will be leading us as we think together how we can best approach 'Glorifying God by seeing Annandale and our surrounds growing as disciples of Jesus.' Dominic Steele will teach on 'Being Ready and Taking Responsibility'.
Today at Village Brett Hall helps us think about the privilege it is that we can come before God in prayer and what has to happen so that we can come before God in prayer.
Today at Village we explore what it is to live without hypocrisy. To face up to the wrong that we have done and to ask God to forgive us. And then the joy and fellowship that comes from receiving full pardon from God.
How might we have real fellowship and joy. John's first letter gives us a clue. Join us as Alex Hitchcock helps us understand the crucial first four verses.
At Village Church there’s a strong emphasis on being known, loved, in Christ and playing our part in Christ’s team. Today we reach the last chapter of Paul’s letter to the Romans and Paul shows us a focused team ministry.
The call of God is for Christians to be united not just in our personal relationships but in praise of our Heavenly Father. This will have all sorts of practical outworkings in our everyday relationships and in our intentional actions to entrepreneurially promote Christ’s mission.
How can Christians be united when we are each so different. Dominic Steele takes us to the Apostle Paul’s teachings to the church in Rome - which was at risk of splitting between two massive factions. Romans 14.
There are three challenges today to live totally counter cultural lives. We are in Romans 13:8-14 and the Apostle Paul challenges in relationship to love, living wakeful lives and walking in obedience to Jesus.
What does it mean for us to relate well as Christians to our government? Where should we extend honour? What place to object? How should we think about tax? What if we don't like the government or the way it is administering society?
What does it mean for us to love sincerely. It's not just do what feels right. But God gives us real content to love. We explore that together with our lead pastor Dominic Steele.
In a one-off sermon this week, Dominic Steele helps us explore the topic of guidance, with a special case study on work. How does God guide His people? Where should we look to find God's guidance? How do we make decisions in life, and especially in work?
It’s the end of our journey through the book of Isaiah. And what a spectacular ending! We seen the vision of the end of time, with the Lord creating a new heavens and earth. But there’s also an intensely practical side to this vision as Dominic Steele helps us to see that our right response is to tremble at the word of God.…
Today we come to a passage which is the heart of the book of Isaiah and potentially the heart of the Old Testament. Dominic Steele is back and will be showing us the last and climax of Isaiah's servant songs. We hear about the coming work of the promised Servant to rescue Israel and sprinkle the nations.…
Today we explore the issue of rejection. In our passage Israel is feeling rejected by God, like all the promises have failed. In the same way as Israel, the servant is feeling similarly rejected, like he is inadequet for his task and despised by people. But where Israel doubts and is faithless, , the servant trusts and is faithful. As we explore this brilliant passage we will see that the servant is God's secret weapon for redeeming Israel. Where, Israel fails, the servant is successful in its place, making Israel acceptable to God. But God declares that it is too small a thing for the servant to just redeem Israel, instead he is to be a light to the nations. This is exactly what we see in the person of Jesus, the one who succeeded where we failed making a way for us to be acceptable To God. So the call this morning is in the face of our personal rejection to look up and around and see what God is doing in the world. Take comfort in our personal rejection knowing that in Jesus was have ultimate acceptance and embrace as we are brought in to be members of God's eternal family.…
