After finding success with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Krayzie Bone recorded his solo debut, Thug Mentality 1999, in 1999. The album was released as a double disc set, featuring a large selection of guest appearances, including Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Mo Thugs, Mariah Carey, ThugLine, The Marley Brothers, Big Pun, Fat Joe, Cuban Link, Gangsta Boo, E-40, 8 Ball & MJG, Kurupt, Naughty By Nature and Snoop Dogg. The album was largely produced by multi instrumentalist Romeo Antonio and was certified platinum by the RIAA. In 2001, Krayzie Bone released Thug On Da Line, which received generally positive reviews from music critics and went gold. In 2005 Krayzie Bone was featured in the song "Ridin'" by Chamillionaire. "Ridin'" was awarded "Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group" at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. It was also nominated for Best Rap Song. It became number one in December on the Pop Chart 3 months after its physical release. The song also topped the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 2 on the UK Singles Chart when it was released there. The song ranked #3 on Rolling Stone's "100 Best Songs of 2006" and #91 on VH1's "100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop". It was the best selling ringtone in 2006, with 3.2 million sales, certified by the RIAA as the first multi-platinum Mastertone artist in history. It was also awarded the last Best Rap Video at the MTV Video Music Awards, which was awarded in 2006. Krayzie Bone comes from a fourth generation family of Jehovah's Witnesses, and as such does not celebrate Christmas. He believes many rappers are unintentionally following the agenda of the Illuminati.[9] On September 24, 2023, Krayzie Bone was admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles after coughing up blood in his sleep, what was later attributed to sarcoidosis. Doctors were unsuccessful in an emergency surgery. On September 26, he was sedated due to a main artery in his lung leaking. However, on October 3, he announced he had recovered from the ailment. Krayzie Bone also has a thriving foundation called "Spread The Love" that mentors and teaches at risk youth life skills and about the music business. Learn more about your ad choices. Drake made her Broadway debut in the 1975 Leslie Lee's play The First Breeze of Summer and the following year appeared in Great Performances production. She later was regular cast member on the two short-lived sitcoms: Snip (1976) and Sanford Arms (1977). During her career, Drake appeared in more than 70 films and television series. Book II (1980), First Monday in October (1981), Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life Is Calling (1986), Alien Nation (1988), House Party (1990), Across the Tracks (1991), Boomerang (1992), Jason's Lyric (1994), Space Jam (1996), How to Be a Player (1997), Anywhere But Here (1999), Leprechaun in the Hood (2000), Friday After Next (2002), Wild Hogs (2007) and Influence (2020). Drake appeared in the 1980 made-for-television drama Scared Straight! Another Story, the 1987 thriller Billionaire Boys Club, and the 1989 miniseries The Women of Brewster Place. She was regular cast member in the 1990 short-lived sitcom New Attitude. Tank , is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. He began his career as a backing vocalist for R&B singers Aaliyah and Ginuwine , and signed a recording contract with the former's record label, Blackground Records as a performing act in 1998. His 2001 single, " Maybe I Deserve " peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and led his debut studio album, Force of Nature (2001). It peaked within the top ten of the Billboard 200 , while his second album, One Man (2002), peaked within the top 20 and was met with mixed critical reception. Following a five-year hiatus, he entered a joint venture with Motown to release his third album, Sex, Love & Pain (2007). Met with his furthest commercial success, it peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and was preceded by the Billboard Hot 100-top 50 single, " Please Don't Go ". He parted ways with the labels in favor of Atlantic Records to release his following albums: Now or Never (2010), This Is How I Feel (2012), Stronger (2014), Sex, Love & Pain II (2014), and Savage (2017), the latter of which spawned the platinum -certified single " When We ". Following his ninth album Elevation (2019), his tenth album, R&B Money (2022) was announced as his final due to hearing loss in his right ear, which hampered his musical ability. [3] In 2007, he formed the R&B trio TGT with contemporaries Ginuwine and Tyrese , with whom he released one studio album (2013). Along with recording, Tank has been credited with songwriting and production for other artists including Kelly Rowland , Chris Brown , Monica , Jamie Foxx , Omarion , LeToya Luckett , NLT , and KeKe Wyatt . His other ventures include his record label R&B Money, which has signed frequent collaborator J. Valentine ; the two began hosting a namesake podcast in 2022, which enlists prominent figures in the genre as guests.
