In Too Strong!, Dave Frodsham of Jubilee Church Wirral looks at Mark 5: 1-20. Dave talks about how we all feel fearful of change – the disciples certainly felt it in this passage – but that although the enemy is strong, Jesus is stronger. He urges us not to let fear run our lives, not to let the enemy in. We need to wear the armour of God . If there is anything more important than God in our lives, then that is our master. We need to be unafraid of change and rest in the knowledge and assurance that Jesus has power over all things.

Chris looks at Mark 6:45-56 – Jesus walking on water. He focuses on three key points: Living on Prayer – Highlighting Jesus’ commitment to prayer and encouraging daily personal prayer as an essential, life-sustaining practice. God Doesn’t Need Google Maps – Illustrating that God knows exactly where we are and what we need, just as Jesus saw the struggling disciples before calming the storm. Faith: The Final Frontier – Contrasting the lack of faith in Jesus’ hometown with the deep faith of those in Gennesaret, where many were healed simply by touching his cloak https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Chris-Griffiths-February-9.mp3 The post Chris Griffiths: Walking on Sunshine first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

Visiting preacher Graham Webb of our sister church Jubilee Church Liverpool looks at Mark 6. Jesus is rejected in his hometown of Nazareth and sends the twelve disciples on mission. Graham highlights the contrast between the people’s lack of faith in Jesus and the disciples’ mission of faith and trust in God. Graham encourages us as Christians to embrace our mission with boldness, resilience, and trust in God’s plan. Rejection and challenges will come, but Jesus’ example teaches perseverance. Faith requires stepping out, even when the outcome is uncertain, because God is always with His people. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Graham-Webb-January-2025.mp3 The post Graham Webb: Rejection first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

32:33Rick looks at Mark 5:24-34, where Jesus heals a woman with a 12-year-long bleeding condition. He highlights four challenges she faced: prolonged illness, financial ruin, poverty, and worsening health. After she sought help from doctors to no avail, the woman’s desperation led her to Jesus, who healed her through her faith. Rick emphasises the importance of faith as a gift from God and encourages us to look for opportunities to help those “poor in spirit” and to bring them into a relationship with Jesus. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Rick-Robertson-Faith-that-touches-heaven.mp3 The post Rick Robertson: Faith that touches heaven first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

In Perspectives, Phil Dickson looks at Mark 5: 21-43. Phil challenges our perceptions of who Jesus is in the context of Jesus’s divine authority and power to miraculously intervene in our lives. Phil draws illustration from the gospel of Mark chapter 5 and the different expectations of those in the lakeside town of Caperneum who witnessed the amazing miracle and rise to life of Jairus’s daughter. Jubilee Church Wirral – Sunday messages
In this Christmas message, Dave urges us not to remember Jesus as a baby in a manger, but as a powerful saviour who will come again to reign over all of us. Christmas is surrounded by expectations – some fulfilled, some not – but Jesus can and will help shape all our expectations for the future if we put our hope and trust in Him today. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Dave-Frodsham-Christmas-Expectations.mp3 The post Dave Frodsham: Christmas expectations first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

40:56Sylvia talks about the true meaning of Christmas: it’s not about parties or presents. It’s about being closer to God. After Adam’s fall in the garden of Eden, which cost him many things, we were separated from God because of our sins. However, although we spent hundreds of years far away from God, we have been brought closer to Him through the birth and then the death of Jesus. Jesus rescued us. He came so that we may be saved and that is what Christmas is about. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Sylvia-Billington-The-Principals-of-the-Kingdom-of-God.mp3 The post Sylvia Billington: The principles of the Kingdom of God first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

In the first message of advent, Denise looks at preparing our hearts for Christ, and how Jesus’ birth fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament, when God’s people were waiting in hope. She also goes into the role and importance of John the Baptist, how the advent of Christ gave us hope in the present and the future. We need to live out advent by putting our hope in Jesus into action. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Denise-Griffiths-A-season-of-hope.mp3 The post Denise Griffiths: A season of Hope first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

In this message from Mark 4, Rick reflects on how God’s Kingdom starts small but grows in His power and timing. The growth isn’t just in numbers but in His Kingdom itself, transforming lives and communities. It’s a reminder to trust in God’s unseen work, knowing He is faithfully building His Kingdom. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Rick-Robertson-Seeds-of-the-Kingdom.mp3 The post Rick Robertson: Seeds of the Kingdom first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

Dave looks at 2 Corinthians 8:1-15 and 9:1-15 and how being generous is an an outworking of God’s grace. He talks about how :* It’s all God’s anyway * We are called to be good stewards* To give is a privilege not a duty https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Dave-Frodsham-Being-generous.mp3 The post Dave Frodsham: Being generous first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

Ola Dosunmu on Psalms 1:1-3 The first three verses of the Book of Psalms – “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers” – are about having our blessedness in the joy of Christ. Sometimes we all have a need, a need for counsel or a need for an opinion.Who is your first point of contact? Who do we listen to? What is it that we enjoy listening to? Is it a friend, a sibling, a spouse, a colleague or a pastor? Whose views do you amplify or uphold? We all need advice sometimes; so it isn’t wrong to go to any of those people. Our Christian journey is a personal journey, a personal experience, so we need to ask God to help us through. We can Walk, stand and sit in sin, or Walk, stand and sit in Christ. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Ola-Dosunmu-Walk-Stand-Sit.mp3 The post Ola Dosunmu: Walk, stand, sit first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

Dave Frodsham: Who is the real Jesus?Mark 3:20-35 Jesus has challenged the religious leaders about their practices that have nothing to do with God; He’s appointed disciples; people are following him everywhere. But opposition is growing and some people think he is out of his mind. In this message, Dave looks at how Jesus can only be one of three things: He’s out of his mind He’s a deceiver He’s the son of God. He doesn’t give us any other choices. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Dave-Frodsham-Who-is-the-real-Jesus.mp3 The post Dave Frodsham: Who is the real Jesus? first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

Tim Hughes on James 5: 14-16 Illness is part of living, but illness is also used by the enemy to slow the church down and stop us doing what we should be doing. God helps us in lots of different ways, he gives us the grace to keep going. He also gives us the Bible. It takes a lot of courage to pray for healing for someone who is ill, because a lot of the time nothing happens. Tim looks at how we can see praying for healing as a gift, a gift that can be unwrapped and enjoyed and tried. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Tim-Hughes-Healing.mp3 The post Tim Hughes: Healing first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…

46:17Chris Griffiths: Living a spirit-filled life – The Boomerang Principle Jesus’s burden is light – but how often do we go to Him? Chris looks at a variety of scripture as he looks at how to live a spirit-filled life, by focusing on three points: How Jesus lived his life on earth What that means for how we live our spiritual lives How that benefits our earthly lives, our church fellowship and our relationship with God. Like boomerangs, we need to keep coming back to God – just like Jesus did – so he can use us again and again. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Chris-Griffiths-Living-a-spirit-filled-life.mp3 The post Chris Griffiths: Living a spirit-filled life first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral .…
