Hey there, weather watchers! Let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us in the nation's capital.
Today's looking like a chilly winter mix with scattered sprinkles and flurries before 4 pm. We're expecting a partly sunny day with temperatures barely climbing to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Hold onto your hats because those northwest winds are going to be whipping around at 16 miles per hour, with gusts up to 32 miles per hour. It's definitely a day for your warmest coat and maybe some thermal layers!
Tonight, expect a partly cloudy sky with temperatures dropping down to a crisp 21 degrees Fahrenheit. Those northwest winds will calm down to a gentle 6 to 10 miles per hour.
Looking ahead to Sunday, we've got a sunny day on tap, but don't get too excited - the high will only reach around 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunday night will be mostly clear and cold, with temperatures dipping to about 14 degrees Fahrenheit.
As we move into the work week, Monday looks sunny and slightly warmer, reaching near 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Tuesday brings a slight chance of snow before 1 pm, with temperatures climbing to 44 degrees Fahrenheit.
